Today
The decisive step in becoming a world leader in its field came when Paioli Meccanica carried out a joint venture with Yamaha and their supplier. There was a convergence of common interests that join the three companies. Through this choice, Paioli Meccanica, obtained a work guarantee of the highest prestige, whereas the two Japanese companies could rely on the Italian know-how of Paioli Meccanica to strengthen their presence in Europe.
In 2002 Paioli Meccanica built two new factories in Altedo Malalbergo. These two locations would be crown jewels whose facilities expressed the utmost in technology.
The names of the two companies are
Galvanotecnica srl and PM srl.
The first company deals with the processing of steel tubes (cutting, lathing, grinding, lapping, polishing, chrome-plating with deposit of chrome and painting).
The second handles working processes connected with the removal of chips for the realization of precision mechanical parts.
To deal with control and management of what we could now call the
Paioli Group, the financial firm Fin-San was founded.
The two new companies of the Paioli Meccanica Group, while founded to supply and control the mechanical parts for the front suspensions (which are designed and assembled in the Paioli Meccanica factory in Minerbio) enjoy a high degree of managerial autonomy and provide their services to a market which is wider than that connected to motorcycles.
It should be clear that these are choices aimed at controlling production and creating synergies which, by improving the quality of the Paioli Meccanica product, open up to a wide number of major, alternative markets.
And that's the story so far.
New goals and new challenges await Paioli Meccanica in the new millennium. The model of development which has been pursued so far will be consolidated, expanding business into budding markets.
Here in the management of the Paioli Group in Minerbio, there is an optimism which is in stark contrast to the hand-wringing pessimism that prevails in Europe due to concern over the arrival of competitors form the Far East.
Over-confidence?
Maybe not. Maybe it's the knowledge of having the creative and innovative potential that has its roots in a hundred years of history.
...technology that creates excellent performance!
