The Campionato Italiano Velocità 2008
(Italian Speed Motorcycle Championship) began at Mugello with immediate satisfaction for Paioli Meccanica. The Aprilia - RCGM team is already reaping the rewards of its hard work.

In the first race, the 125 GP Motosprint, fifteen-year-old Lorenzo Savadori earned pole position, the fastest lap and victory.

For the sake of completeness, the other winners were:
Michele Pirro (Yamaha - Lorenzini by Leoni) in the Superstock 1000 Panta, 
Massimo Roccoli  (Yamaha - Lorenzini by Leoni) in the 600 SS Sportautomoto and 
Claudio Corti (Yamaha - Yamaha Motor Italia) in the Superbike PBR - EK.

In addition to Lorenzo Savadori’s brilliant display in the 125 GP, we must also underline the developments that have been made by Paioli Meccanica technicians in the set-up of the USD 37 125.

The practicality of the suspension calibration allows for a perfect alignment of the bike with the psychophysical characteristics of the rider, and is the confirmation that the suspensions manufactured by Paioli Meccanica are developing in the right direction. Results and experience that add to, and make use of, the Minerbio-based company’s store of knowledge. In the near future, we will see the performances that are possible with the technical know-how gleaned from this experience.

The winning combination is embodied by seemingly contrasting data:
- the knowledge that is the fruit of hard work, and the use of material and human resources, deriving from a long history.
- the grit and tender age of the star rider who, with great naturalness, uses an extremely sophisticated vehicle.

The old age of the company and the youth of the rider are, only apparently, a contradiction in terms.
Thus, during the course of the Estoril Grand Prix, it was possible to gather the first fruits of a process of technical development. It was an important test for the new products and the new set-ups.

It is needless to say that Paioli suspensions help to produce great performances!
